Operation Sindoor: In retaliation to the terrorist strike of April 22 in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, India struck nine bases of terrorists in Pakistan and PoK under 'Operation Sindoor' during the night of May 6-7. Although nations such as the US, Israel and France endorsed the drastic measure, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Qatar spoke on behalf of Pakistan.

Turkiye called India's action a threat of war

Sympathizing with Pakistan, Turkiye called India's action a threat of war. "We are worried about the danger of war that comes with the attack led by India during the night of May 6-7. We deplore provocative measures and measures like civilian targets targeting," he stated, calling for restraint and a diplomatic approach on both sides.

Azerbaijan termed the incident a "unilateral act of aggression"

Azerbaijan also responded negatively to India's move. "We are worried by increasing tensions between India and Pakistan. Azerbaijan termed the incident a "unilateral act of aggression" and expressed condolences to the victims' families in Pakistan."

Qatar's Foreign Ministry made a statement

Qatar's message was somewhat even-handed, but it definitely called on both nations to be restrained and ease tensions. Qatar's Foreign Ministry made a statement indicating, "We are closely monitoring the developing tension between India and Pakistan with serious concern. Calls on both nations to exercise restraint, observe principles of good neighbourhood and settle issues through diplomatic channels," the statement read.

The attack was a "declaration of war"

The US, Israel and European nations welcomed the episode as a "careful and moderate step" and clarified that attacks did not occur on any Pakistani civil, military or economic facility. The attack was a "declaration of war" pronounced by Pakistan, threatening retaliation. In the process, he also attempted to raise this matter within the United Nations and the OIC.
