Bilawal Bhutto confesses to Pakistan's crime after Khawaja Asif (X/@Eraofkashmir1)
Terrorists flourish in Pakistan. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif's statement has been endorsed by former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto. Bhutto asserts that there is a past of its own for Pakistan in this regard. Terrorists who were raised in Pakistan assassinated my mother. I myself have suffered at the hands of such terrorists.
In a televised interview, Bilawal Bhutto has stated that "I do not believe it is any secret that Pakistan has a history. Through the waves of extremism, we have learnt lessons and made internal reforms. Now this is all history, and we are not involved in it anymore."
Admitting his own past associated with militancy, Bilawal said "Pakistan has a past" and the nation has paid a big price because of it. His words came as a response to Pakistan's Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, who, in an interview with Sky News recently, had conceded that Pakistan had aided and supported terror groups for decades.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif had stated, "We have performed dirty tasks for America and Western nations for three decades. It was a major blunder for which we had to pay. This admission has been made when 26 individuals were martyred in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on April 22.The Lashkar-e-Taiba, a banned terror outfit based in Pakistan, was responsible for the attack.
Addressing a rally in Mirpurkhas on Thursday, Bhutto once again claimed that Pakistan wants peace but is ready to go to war if India invites it. "We don't want war, but if someone attacks our Indus, he will receive a befitting response," he declared. These remarks by Pakistan's leadership have again put the country's dual policy and its approach towards terrorism in question.
