New Delhi: The meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, who was on Italy tour, once again became a topic of discussion on social media. This time the reason was not any big political statement, but India's famous 'Melody' toffee. During the meeting in Rome, PM Modi specially gifted Melody toffee to Meloni. There was a light-hearted conversation between the two leaders, the video of which went viral on the internet as soon as it surfaced. In the video, both the leaders were seen laughing and 'Melody' started trending once again on social media.
Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni herself shared the video of this meeting on social media platform X. In the video of about 12 seconds, both the leaders are seen holding a packet of Melody Toffee in their hands. In the video, Meloni says smilingly that Prime Minister Modi has brought a very nice toffee for her. After this both laugh. As soon as the video surfaced, people on social media again started linking the word 'melody' with the friendly chemistry of PM Modi and Meloni.

Melody Toffee is counted among the most popular toffees of India. It was launched in the market by Parle Products in the year 1983. Both countries are moving forward on the Joint Strategic Action Plan 2025-2029. According to statistics, trade between the two countries has reached more than 16 billion dollars. In such a situation, this visit of PM Modi is being considered important not only from the diplomatic point of view but also from the point of view of economic and strategic relations.
