Iran: Reza Pahlavi, son of the last Shah of Iran, has appealed to US President Donald Trump for help. He says that the situation in Iran has become very bad and if intervention is not taken now, it may be too late. There are continuous protests going on in the country, and people's lives are said to be in danger.
Pahlavi says that bullets are being fired on the people on the streets. The situation is out of control in many cities. Common people are only demanding their rights and freedom, but in response they are getting fear and violence.
According to him, internet and phone services have been stopped in the entire country. People are not able to contact each other. Even the outside world is not getting correct information. Pahlavi says that in this darkness the government can take more strictness.
Reza Pahlavi wrote that this is a very delicate time. He said that lakhs of people have already taken to the streets and are about to take to the streets again. He told Trump that now not just statements but concrete steps are needed.
Pahlavi alleges that the government is afraid of its end. Due to this fear, she wants to suppress the voice of the people. He said that the youth are being targeted and the truth is being hidden by blocking communication.
Reza Pahlavi says that people have been asked to come out again. He claims that there was a huge crowd on the streets last night too and the number may increase further in the coming hours.
He said that Trump is a leader who sticks to his promises. He hopes that America will stand with the common people of Iran and come forward to protect them if needed.
The Iranian leadership has indicated that it will not back down from crushing the demonstrations. Government TV and newspapers are calling the protesters traitors and terrorists. Due to this the atmosphere has become more tense.
Iran is going through a very sensitive period at the moment. On one hand people want change. On the other hand, the government is showing strictness. After Reza Pahlavi's appeal, this issue has now come to the attention of the whole world.
