After Afghan Assault, Taliban Strikes Pakistani Positions, Delivers Stern Threat

A statement from the Taliban spokesperson has come after the attack on Pakistani posts: Afghan security forces attacked Pakistani army posts along the Durand Line (Pak-Afghan border) on Saturday night. The Afghan Taliban stated that the attacks on their military posts were in response to attacks by Pakistani forces on their territory. The Taliban stated that the Afghan National Islamic Army launched attacks across the Durand Line in the eastern and southeastern regions of the country. Twelve Pakistani soldiers are claimed to have been killed in these attacks.

According to Tolo News, the Taliban stated that they targeted Pakistani army installations used to violate Afghanistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Taliban forces attacked the installations from which drones were fired into the Afghan border. Installations supporting the Pakistani army were also targeted.

According to Pakistani security officials, several border posts were fired upon from Afghanistan's Kunar, Nangarhar, and Nuristan provinces. Outposts in Pakistan's Kurram and Chitral districts were targeted. Pakistani officials have said that at least four border posts have been targeted so far.
