Global Reactions to Trump-Hamas Gaza Deal: Hamas took a major step on Friday regarding US President Donald Trump's peace plan for Gaza. The organization stated that it is ready to release the hostages and accept certain key elements of the plan, including handing over administration of Gaza and the release of the hostages. Negotiations with Palestinian groups will continue on the remaining conditions.
President Trump welcomed Hamas's announcement. He stated that he believes Hamas is ready for "lasting peace." He urged Israel to immediately halt bombing in Gaza so that the hostages can be safely evacuated. Trump stated that negotiations are already underway on the issues that remain to be worked out. He stated that this is a major step toward long-sought peace not only in Gaza but throughout the Middle East.
President Emmanuel Macron welcomed Hamas's announcement. He said that now the release of Israeli hostages and ceasefire in Gaza is possible. Macron called it a significant progress towards peace and appreciated Trump's efforts.

UN General Secretary Antonio Guterres appealed to all the parties to end the struggle in Gaza immediately. His spokesperson said that Guterres welcomed Hamas's response and appreciated the mediation efforts of Qatar and Egypt. He said that it is necessary to ensure immediate and permanent ceasefire, unconditional release of all hostages and access to human assistance.
Britain's Prime Minister Keir Starmer described it as "an important step." He said that accepting Trump's peace plan by Hamas is a clear indication of progress.

Qatar's Foreign Ministry also welcomed Hamas's announcement. He said that talks are going on with the US and Egypt, and it is a welcome step for Hamas to accept the plan and to express the hostages safely. Qatar immediately insisted on stopping violence in the ceasefire and Gaza.
