Trump Says US-Iran War May Continue for About Four Weeks Amid Ongoing Strikes (X)
Washington: US President Donald Trump has given a big statement regarding the ongoing conflict with Iran. He said in an interview with the British newspaper Daily Mail that this operation could last for about four weeks. Trump says that Iran is a big and strong country, so it will take time, but everything is going according to plan. He also said that the doors for talks with Iran are open, but now is not the time to talk.
Trump clearly said, "This has always been a four-week process. We thought it would be done in four weeks or so. This is a big country, strong, but it could be done in four weeks or less. America had prepared from the beginning for a long-term action, not a hastily ended attack. Trump also said the operation was going "as planned" and was "well underway" in several locations.

Trump confirmed the deaths of three American soldiers who have been killed so far in this conflict. He said, "They were very good people with excellent records. Unfortunately such losses happen, and there may be more." These are the first combat deaths in his second term. Trump described them as "martyrs" and said America would avenge these deaths. The Pentagon also confirmed that three soldiers were killed and some were seriously injured.
Trump said Iran wanted to talk, but he responded, "I don't know." They want to talk, but I said they should have talked last week, not this week. The tension is very high right now, but the door has not been completely closed. Trump expressed the possibility of talking to the new leadership of Iran but did not give any date.
Trump posted a video on Truth Social and said that this is "the most complex and tremendous military operation in the world." Many senior leaders, including Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, were killed in the US-Israel joint strikes - Trump said that about 48 senior figures were killed, which is more than thought. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks, leading to war in the Middle East. More than 200 people have been killed.
Trump says the operation will continue until "all objectives" are accomplished. He described Iran's long-range missile and nuclear programs as "a major threat to every American." Trump appealed to the Iranian people to capture the government. He has spoken to the leaders of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Jordan and will soon address the American public again.
Overall, Trump's message is clear – this is not a small operation but a long fight. America is ready, but there will be losses too. The situation in the Middle East is very delicate, and it remains to be seen what happens in the coming weeks.
