Why Israel’s Recognition Of Somaliland Is A Diplomatic Turning Point

Why is Somalia angry?

Somaliland has declared itself a separate country since 1991. The government, army, and administration there run completely differently from Somalia. Elections are also held there, and the situation inside is said to be more peaceful than in many African countries. Despite this, the countries of the world did not recognize it. Israel's decision may change this situation or create new controversies. It is not yet decided whether other countries will support or oppose this decision.

Somalia has expressed strong objection to this step. He says that Somaliland is a part of his country, and no outside country can take such a decision. Egypt, Turkey, and Djibouti have also expressed concern. They believe that this could increase tension in the area, and these decisions could give rise to further demands for secession.
