Experts say that during the summer season, problems like tonsils can occur in the throat, due to which there is difficulty in drinking or swallowing water. If you too are troubled by throat infection, then here are some tips you can follow:

Avoid AC

After coming out from the sun, do not sit in the AC or cooler immediately. This can cause hot and cold, the effect of which can be seen on the throat. If you are going to sit in AC, then keep its temperature around 25 degrees.

Don't bath after coming back from sun

Many times, after coming back from the sun, we go straight to take a bath or wash our face. This may cause cold or sore throat. Therefore, come in contact with water only after sitting for a while.

Avoid ice cream/ cold drink

It is very fun to eat ice cream and  drink cold drinks in the summer season, but they can hurt the throat. Cold drinks also dehydrate the body. Therefore avoid eating cold things.

Take steam

Take steam to relieve sore throat or mucus. Many times gargling does not cure the sore. In such a situation, steam works more effectively. For this, it is important to cover yourself with a blanket or towel along with the steamer. After this take steam for 5 to 7 minutes.

Consume Kadha

Prepare the decoction according to the heat. Prepare a decoction by mixing 1 teaspoon each of basil, black pepper, dry ginger and cinnamon in one liter of water and drink it. This will provide a lot of relief.
