Donald Trump shares Araghchi's statement on his Truth Social account, in which a ceasefire agreement with the United States was confirmed. As previously reported, Araghchi expressed "gratitude and appreciation" on behalf of Tehran for the "continuous efforts" of Pakistan and its leadership to end the conflict in the region.

In his statement, Iran's foreign minister said, "If attacks against Iran cease, our powerful armed forces will halt their defensive operations." He also added that, in coordination with the Iranian military, transit through the Strait of Hormuz would remain possible for the next two weeks.
