Nepal Gen Z Protest LIVE: Due to the escalating unrest situation in Nepal over Gen Z protest, an advisory has been issued by MEA to defer travel there until the situation becomes stable. Reportedly, Indians are also advised to stay indoor and shelter in their current places of residence, and follow all the due caution issued by the admistration over there.
As per the reports, political chaos erupted in Nepal on Tuesday as Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli resigned amid the ongoing unrest in the country due to the Gen Z-led protests. Reportedly, protesters targeted government offices, set to fire private residences of President Ram Chandra Poudel, Oli, and several other prominent leaders.
Due to the rising chaos in Nepal over social media ban, and allegations of rampant corruption, have now become violent, leading to the closure of Tribhuvan International Airport. In the resignation letter, PM Oli stated that he is stepping down “to facilitate the solution to the problem and to help resolve it politically in accordance with the Constitution.”
The growing tension in Nepal, the Nepal Army and senior security officials issued joint statement appealing restraint and dialogue as the only solution to restore peace. Nepal army pledged to protect the country’s independence, sovereignty, and citizens’ lives and property. They will also analyse the Gen Z movement’s developments. Defying the curfews, protesters set fire to public properties, residences including former PMs Sher Bahadur Deuba and Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
Due to the escalating unrest in Nepal, army has been deployed on the route to the Parliament in Kathmandu.
Amid the ongoing unrest situation in the Nepal and political turnmoil, Gen Z group has proposed another name for interim PM post i.e., Kulman Ghising. Reportedly, they have rejected SushilaKarki's name as PM.
Gen-Z leader Anil Baniya said, "We did this movement after getting fed up with the old-aged leaders. We had called for a peaceful protest, but the political cadres caused the arson and then vandalised the infrastructure. Through online surveys, the Gen-Z leaders voted for Sushila Karki. We are not trying to change the constitution, but make necessary changes to it. Within 6 months, we will head to the election..."

Amid the ongoing unrest in Nepal and after the resignation of PM KP Sharma Oli, Kul Man Ghising is expected to be the PM of Nepal as per the media report.

Due to the escalating unrest in Nepal, the Uttarakhand police is on high alert. As per the Uttarakhand Police Headquarters quote in ANI, the police and the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) conducted joint patrolling in border areas of Pithoragarh.
If reports are to be believed, Sushila Karki's name has been emerged as the first choice for Nepal PM candidate. Reports also suggests that some Gen Z activists are in her favour for PM candidate, while they are discussing other names as well.

In a latest update in Nepal protest, the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu has resumed operation, after it was shut on Tuesday due to the ongoing protests, as per the reports.
In a latest update in the Nepal protest, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that tourists from the state are stranded in Nepal and will be brought back safely in a couple of days. “I will appeal to the tourists stranded in Nepal not to panic. We will bring them back in a couple of days,” PTI quoted Mamata as saying.
Amid the ongoing Nepal protest unrest situation, China has issued advisory to its citizens to "pay close attention to safety."
Lin, Foreign ministry spokesman, during a press briefing, said, "It is hoped that all sectors of Nepal can properly handle domestic issues and quickly restore social order and national stability. China has already reminded its citizens in Nepal to pay close attention to safety."
The Nepal Gen Z protest has escalating and taken a violent turn. In a latest update, Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has instructed officials to ensure the safe return of 30 Kannadigas stranded at the Kathmandu Airport.

In a fresh update related to the ongoing Nepal protest, IndiGo said that all the airline's flights to and from Kathmandu will remain cancelled till 6 pm today.
The statement read, "We fully understand the uncertainty this may cause and want to assure you that flexible options remain open. We continue to extend waivers on rescheduling and cancellations for travel to and from Kathmandu until September 12, applicable for bookings made on or before September 9."
It further stated, "While operations are on hold, our teams are actively coordinating with the relevant authorities and remain fully prepared to restore services as soon as permissions are granted. Regular updates will continue to be shared through our official channels."
