On September 1, fitness coach Dan Go posted on Instagram about 10 foods he eats every day that, he says, help him feel stronger, healthier and nearly 10 years younger.
Eggs, grapefruit, pumpkin seeds, and bone broth are on his list. Collagen, often called “Nature’s Botox,” helps keep the skin firm, joints flexible, and bones strong. After age 30, the body makes less of it, so eating these foods can help bring back skin elasticity and strength.
Swiss chard, pomegranates, blueberries, and grapes are full of antioxidants. Free radicals act like tiny thieves that harm cells, while antioxidants protect the skin, fight wrinkles, and slow ageing.
Green tea, olive oil, and beans are suggested for cell care. Dan says cells are like overworked staff who burn out without the right fuel. These foods help repair them, reduce disease risk, and keep the body running smoothly.
Salmon, sardines, chia seeds, and walnuts work like an internal moisturizer. They ease inflammation, hydrate skin, and support heart and brain function. For gut health, foods like sauerkraut, garlic, asparagus, and kimchi are key. A healthy gut leads to glowing skin, stronger immunity, and better digestion. Dan also shares a bonus tip about hydration: “If you eat well but still feel like a raisin, you’re dehydrated. Water with electrolytes hydrates cells, flushes out toxins, and makes skin glow. Simple but powerful,” he says. To get the best from these foods, he advises mixing different food groups at each meal, eating colourful fruits and vegetables every day, pairing collagen-rich foods with vitamin C, combining prebiotics with probiotics for gut health, and staying consistent, as benefits build over time.
