Bageshwar Dham on not getting Katha's permission in West Bengal: In his bold statement, Bageshwar Dham's Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri said that he will not hold a Katha (religious discourse) in West Bengal as long as 'Didi' Mamata Banerjee is the Chief Minister. In his statement he said, "We were supposed to go to West Bengal, but Didi (Mamata Banerjee) refused us. The permission itself was cancelled. As long as Didi is there, we won't go; when Dada comes, then we will go."

It is to be noted here that Dhirendra Krishna Shastri's Hanumant Katha was scheduled to be held in Kolkata on October 10, 11, and 12, 2025. But prior to the katha, its permission was cancelled due to weather reasons. Permission for Katha was not granted to him at any other location either. Reportedly, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has now postponed it.

What Dhirendra Krishna Shastri said?

Speaking about the same, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri said, "We were supposed to go to West Bengal, but Didi refused us. You understand who we are talking about, we don't want to take names... Look, the permission itself was cancelled and permission is not being granted elsewhere. Where it was, it got waterlogged."

He further said, "You must have understood that I will not mention names. As long as Didi is here, there will be no Katha in West Bengal . When Dada comes, we will do the Katha there." His statement has generated curiosity and discussion among religious followers.

Meanwhile, devotees in and around Kolkata are eagerly awaiting his statement and upcoming events. While there is some mild disappointment among his followers regarding the postponement of the Katha, they respect Panditji's decision.

This decision by Bageshwar Maharaj is believed to be a result of religious and administrative circumstances. It remains to be seen in the coming week when he will arrive at the Katha site and when the event will be held.
