National News: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has intensified its action in the money laundering case related to online betting platform 1xbet. The agency is now preparing to seize the properties of cricketers and film stars, who are accused of purchasing property from illegal earnings. Many big names have been revealed in this case, including Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Robin Uthappa and Shikhar Dhawan.

According to sources, the ED suspects that these players and actors used the money received from 1xbet and other online betting companies to buy assets in India and abroad. The agency is currently investigating their bank account, transactions records and property documents.

Summons sent many times

The ED sent summons to several cricketers and actors in this case for questioning, but according to reports some celebrities have not appeared before the agency yet. In such a situation, the ED has now planned to attach their properties. This step will be taken only when the agency finds sufficient evidence of money laundering.

Government's tough stand

In recent times, the central government has increased strictness against online betting platforms. 1xbet was becoming increasingly popular in India and millions of users were using it. The government not only banned such platforms, but also kept a close watch on the illegal economic transactions through them.

ED will move further

The ED has raided several locations associated with 1xbet in the last few weeks. Initial investigation has revealed the involvement of many big names. The agency is now scrutinizing the entire chain of transactions to find out which money reached and where the investment was made. If there is concrete evidence in the investigation, not only will the assets be confiscated, but there is also a possibility of arrest. Sources say that in the coming days some big cricketers and actors may have to appear in the ED office.
