India’s Arattai App Takes the Lead, Poses Challenge to WhatsApp (AI )

India's messaging app: WhatsApp is so common in India that it's hard to imagine defeating it. However, recently, India's indigenous messaging app, "Arattai," has been grabbing the eye balls. Its popularity has increased so rapidly that it has become the number one social networking app on the Indian App Store. The Arattai app was developed by the Indian company Zoho.

Meaning and Features of Arattai

"Arattai" is a Tamil word which means "to talk" or "chat." Zoho designed it to be secure, reliable, and feature-rich. Anyone can easily use it whether they are children or adults.

What can the Arattai app do?

Arattai is similar to WhatsApp, but it also has some unique advantages. With this app, you can:

  • Send text and voice messages
  • Share photos, videos, and documents
  • Make audio and video calls
  • Create group chats and channels
  • Schedule meetings
  • Share stories and locations
  • Zoho claims that privacy and security are fully addressed.

How did it reach number 1?

The Arattai app gained rapid popularity following Prime Minister Modi's call to adopt Swadeshi on September 21st. This led to it becoming the number 1 app in the social networking category of the Indian App Store. It was developed entirely in India as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

How to use

The app is very easy to use. Simply download it from the Play Store or App Store, register with your mobile number, and start using it immediately.
