National News: Amit Shah in Lok Sabha: During the discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah made sharp attacks on the opposition. He answered the question of the Congress, in which the party had asked why the government did not wage war when the army was in a better position. Shah defended the strategy of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi government by citing history and directly put the country's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, in the dock.

Shah said that decisions about war are taken after careful consideration and its consequences are long-term. He said that in 1948, when the Indian army was in a strong position, Nehru declared a ceasefire even though Sardar Patel was against it. He said that if there had been no ceasefire then, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) would not have existed today.

Reminded of history with a direct target on Nehru

Amit Shah said, "I am a student of history, and I say with responsibility that if PoK exists today, it is because of the ceasefire done by Nehru ji in 1948." He said that Sardar Patel was against that decision and went to the radio station himself, but Nehru declared a unilateral ceasefire.

Counterattack on Congress question

Shah said, "Yesterday Congress had questioned why the war was not fought when the army was in a strong position. I want to ask, was our army weak in 1948?" He further said that if Congress had taken the right decision at that time, we would not have to face attacks on the camps today. He also cited the Indus Water Treaty of 1960 and the Shimla Agreement of 1971, in which Congress did not take any concrete steps on PoK.

Pakistan was born due to the policies of Congress

Amit Shah also said that Pakistan is the result of Congress's policies. Shah said, "Pakistan is Congress's mistake. It accepted partition, and the Gandhi family has special love for China." He also asked what agreement Congress had with China.

Congress was also cornered on terrorist attacks

Responding to questions raised by Congress, Shah said, "Yesterday they were asking, where did the culprits of Pahalgam go? Today I am reading 10 names, out of which 8 terrorists have been killed by our government. These are the same terrorists who had gone into hiding during the time of Chidambaram and Company." He said that the Modi government has killed more than 100 terrorists, and every citizen of the country should be proud of this.

Shah questions Chidambaram on Pakistan proof

During the discussion, Shah also attacked former Home Minister P. Chidambaram. He said, "Yesterday Chidambaram ji asked, What is the proof that the terrorists came from Pakistan? I ask, what do you want to say? Do you want to save Pakistan? What will you get from that?" He said that it is the responsibility of the government to keep the country safe, and under this responsibility, Operation Sindoor was carried out.
