New Delhi: Several horrifying details regarding the sexual assault of a 25-year-old married woman in Haryana's Faridabad have come to light. The victim was allegedly raped in a moving car while being driven around before she was thrown out of the moving vehicle.
The victim suffered severe injuries to her face and head. She required 12 stitches and is in critical condition at a private hospital.
According to the police, the accused allegedly drove around throughout the night on Monday before throwing out the victim while the vehicle was moving at a high speed near Raja Chowk at around 3 am. The vehicle was reportedly travelling at 90 kmph at the time.
According to the complaint lodged by the victim's sister, she was staying at her parents' house due to a marital discord. The woman had gone to a friend's house in Sector 23 on Monday evening, and was offered a lift by the accused while returning late at night.
However, instead of taking the victim to her destination, the accused duo drove towards Gurugram and raped her inside the car. The victim managed to call her sister, who arrived at the scene and took her to Badshah Khan Civil Hospital, where
the doctors advised that the woman be taken to Delhi. However, the victim’s family admitted her to a private hospital in Faridabad.
"My sister was badly injured after she was thrown out of the vehicle. Considering her condition, we decided to admit her to a private hospital,” the victim’s sister told the media.
The victim suffered severe injuries to her face and head and required more than 12 stitches. Her condition is critical, and she is not yet fit to record a statement, a police officer told the media.
The accused reportedly hail from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, currently living in Faridabad. The police said that the accused - have confessed to the crime - are not known to the victim, and their identities would be revealed once a test identification parade is conducted.
"We have nabbed the accused and are questioning them. They will be produced before a court. Since a test identification parade is yet to be conducted, the names and photographs of the accused cannot be disclosed at this stage," Faridabad police spokesperson Yashpal Yadav told the media.
The police have also seized the vehicle used in the crime.
