Ayodhya: In a shocking case from a village in the Kumarganj police station area of Ayodhya, a 69-year-old woman has accused four individuals of raping her on the night of September 23. The police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law and sent the victim for a medical examination.

According to officials, three of the accused—two teenagers and a middle-aged man—have already been arrested, while the search for the fourth individual continues. The disturbing incident came to light when a video of the assault surfaced online. The woman's son, who lives in a distant city, was informed about the video and immediately rushed to his village. Upon learning the details from his mother, he lodged a formal complaint with the police.

Authorities revealed that on the night of the attack, the elderly woman was with a man from her village near a tubewell, drinking alcohol. Another middle-aged man soon arrived at the scene, and after the first man left, the woman was assaulted. The two teenagers who arrived later recorded the incident and shared the video, which led to the arrest of the suspects. SP Amit Kumar Anand confirmed, "The accused have been arrested, and legal proceedings are underway. The fourth suspect will be apprehended shortly."
