Deadly Collision in UP: Bus Hits Truck, Bursts Into Flames, Dozens Injured

Balrampur (UP): Such an accident happened in Balrampur on Sunday night, which plunged many families into sorrow forever. A bus going from Sonauli to Delhi, carrying mostly Nepali passengers, met with a terrible accident on the way. Three people lost their lives in this accident, while 24 people were injured. The condition of six injured is so serious that they were immediately sent to Bahraich Medical College.

This incident took place in the Phulwariya bypass of the Kotwali Dehat police station area. It was nighttime, and the bus was moving at its own pace towards Delhi. Then a speeding truck carrying warm clothes towards Assam suddenly hit the bus from the front. The collision was so strong that no one could control himself, and the bus got stuck under the high-tension line. The next moment sparks flared up, and the bus started engulfing in flames.

What happened to the passengers when the bus caught fire?

After the fire, there was screaming inside the bus. Many people ran towards the door, but the smoke and flames were increasing. In such a situation, someone gathered courage and broke the window glass and people started coming out through the same route. Those who came out tried to save the remaining passengers. Within a short time the police and fire brigade teams arrived. By then the bus had started burning completely, and the truck had also caught fire. Firefighters controlled the fire after a lot of effort and sent the injured to the hospital by ambulance. The scattered items on the spot, the burnt vehicle, and the distraught passengers were telling the horror of this accident.

Where have the bus driver and conductor gone?

Surprisingly, no trace of the bus driver and conductor has been found after the accident. The police are busy searching for them. It is also being seen in the investigation whether they too got injured and fell somewhere or got scared and went away from the spot.
