Bangladesh’s New Deal With China Raises India’s Concerns Over The Strategic ‘Chicken Neck’ Corridor

New Delhi: 13 agreements have been signed between Bangladesh and China for cooperation on many important projects including Teesta River. After these agreements, the discussion about changes in regional strategic equations has intensified. Especially China's increasing role in the Teesta River Project is being considered sensitive for India, because this area is very close to India's Siliguri Corridor i.e. 'Chicken Neck'.
