Patna Court Defers Khan Sir's Anticipatory Bail Hearing To June 27; 2 Associates Of Roshan Anand Granted Bail (x)
Patna: In connection with the June 2 firing incident under the Kadamkuan police station, the Patna Civil Court on Thursday deferred the hearing on the anticipatory bail plea of Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, who is the director of Khan Global Studies. The court has adjourned the matter till June 27.
A hearing in the ongoing legal dispute involving educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, and Roshan Anand was held on Thursday at the Patna Civil Court. The two associates, linked to the Roshan Anand were granted bail by the court.
The Patna Court on Thursday deferred consideration of Khan Sir’s anticipatory bail plea due to an incomplete police case diary.
The court had fixed Thursday for hearing two separate anticipatory bail pleas filed in the case by Faisal Khan and his three colleagues Ajit Kumar, Kanhaiya Kumar Singh and Ankit Kumar Pandey.
The District and Sessions Judge granted unconditional bail to the two persons associated with the Roshan Anand faction, Gaurav Kumar and Abhishek Kumar.
When the case came up for hearing, public prosecutor Rajesh Kumar told the court that the case diary presented by the police was not updated.
The court ordered the police to submit an updated case diary and fixed June 27 for hearing the case. Meanwhile, the court has continued the interim relief of stay on the arrest of these accused till June 27.
The bail plea of Abhishek Kumar, brother of Gyan Bindu Coaching director Roshan Anand and employee Gaurav Kumar, accused in the case of assault on the guard of Khan Global Studies, was heard on Thursday in the court of District and Additional Sessions Judge.
After hearing both sides, the court granted bail to the accused. Vijay Anand, the accused's lawyer, stated that the court granted bail to the accused on two sureties of Rs 10,000 each.
The regular bail plea of both the accused was rejected by the court of First Class Judicial Magistrate Anurag Verma.
A bail application was subsequently filed in the court of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, who then transferred the case to the court of ADJ-33 for hearing.
