Better To Look Inwards India Fires Back At Islamabad's Baseless Karachi Blame

New Delhi: India outrightly rejected the allegations, put by Pakistan that linked India with the recent terror blast om a Sindh Rangers compound, Karachi. It called that the accusations are baseless and asked Islamabad to focus on own inland regions, that are the operating hub for terrorism from its own soil.

What MEA had said?

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said when addressing to the media that New Delhi explicitly rejected the allegations.

"We have seen Pakistani reports making baseless allegations against India regarding the recent incident in Karachi. We categorically reject them," Jaiswal said.

He further added that Pakistan should stop pointing out the fingers on others rather take credibility and take action against the operating terrorists networks within the nation.

"Pakistan would do better to look inwards, take credible action against the terror infrastructure on its territory and rid itself of its proclivity to rely on terrorism as an instrument of state policy," the MEA spokesperson added.

Where was the attack?

The statement came after a day, when heavily armed militants attacked the Karachi based Rangers compound. As per Pakistani authorities, the attack occurred on Saturday evening at Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi. According to security officials, a vehicle entered through the main gate inside the premises. They hurled the grenades, that caused several explosions.

Special Security Units (SSU) commandos and the Anti-Terrorist Force joined the operation, that continued till 90 minutes. According to Pakistani security forces, there were six militants killed by rangers however one got hurted and captured alive. In the exchange of prolonged gunfire, four Rangers personnel  were also lost their lives.

Who had claimed the attack?

The attack was claimed by Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a militant  group associated with a banned organization named Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). 

In the wake of the assault, security forces cordoned off the location and initiated a sweep operation. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah instructed top policing authorities to present a thorough investigation report on the matter, as emergency units rushed to the scene.
