National News: In a dramatic turn ahead of Bihar’s polls, Congress lost its Chenari MLA ML Murari Gautam who resigned from the party. This resignation is being called the “first wicket” for Congress. The Grand Alliance has still not finalized seat-sharing, yet internal cracks have started surfacing. Gautam’s decision is significant because he had earlier voted in favor of the NDA government during the floor test. His exit has now given rise to speculation about further defections.

Ajay Nishad’s possible return

Alongside this development, reports suggest that former Muzaffarpur MP Ajay Nishad, who had joined Congress, may return to his old party BJP. Nishad had quit BJP after being denied a ticket and joined Congress. However, dissatisfaction continues and talks of his possible re-entry into NDA are strong. His political moves could further weaken Congress at a crucial time. The uncertainty around his role has added to Congress’s troubles just before polls.

Seat-sharing sparks major tensions

Seat-sharing remains a burning issue inside the Grand Alliance. Parties are locked in negotiations, but mutual trust seems missing. Purnia MP Pappu Yadav openly stated that RJD must show a big heart and share more seats. He said RJD should contest less than 100 seats, while Congress and others should get a larger share. This demand has heated the alliance debate further.

Congress demands bigger share

Congress leaders argue that their party has strong presence, especially in Seemanchal, and should be given more seats. Pappu Yadav stressed that without Congress, the alliance cannot survive. He made it clear that Congress should not be sidelined, otherwise the alliance will lose ground. This demand has exposed the struggle between RJD and Congress. The pressure is now on RJD to respond.

Pappu Yadav hits out at rivals

Pappu Yadav also targeted the NDA, saying BJP does not give importance to its allies like Chirag Paswan or JDU. He alleged that the NDA is internally divided and only BJP benefits. He even accused the Election Commission of favoring BJP by adopting unfair practices. His statement indicates that opposition leaders are not only fighting internally but also preparing to corner BJP.

Prashant Kishor also attacked

In his fiery remarks, Pappu Yadav mocked strategist Prashant Kishor, saying he is not in the top three or even top thirteen. According to him, Kishor only waits for opportunities when another leader gives him entry. This comment added another twist, as Kishor’s name often surfaces in Bihar’s political discussions. Yadav’s words show the depth of internal fights inside opposition politics.

Alliance stability under question

The resignation of ML Murari Gautam, rumors of Ajay Nishad’s switch, and Pappu Yadav’s attacks have put the alliance under pressure. Seat-sharing has become the biggest test for unity. If Congress continues losing leaders and if demands are not balanced, the Grand Alliance may enter elections weaker. On the other hand, BJP and NDA are watching these cracks closely, hoping to gain political advantage from the chaos.
