Now the real script of the electoral battle is to be written in Delhi on Sunday. The meetings to be held today are being called 'Super Sunday' in political circles, because both the teams contending for power—NDA and the Mahagathbandhan are busy deciding their final strategy.

Brainstorming intensifies from Patna to Delhi

Rabri Devi's residence in Patna hosted an important meeting of RJD's core committee late on Saturday night. In this meeting, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi Yadav, and other senior leaders had a lengthy discussion on seat and ticket distribution. Sources indicate that Tejashwi Yadav will meet Congress leaders in Delhi today to finalize the alliance formula.

NDA's Movement in Delhi

NDA's strategic meetings are continuing in Delhi. BJP President J.P. Nadda. An eight-hour-long meeting took place at Nadda's residence on Saturday, in which Home Minister Amit Shah and leaders of all NDA constituents from Bihar were present. The seat sharing and names of the candidates are likely to be finalized in the NDA Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting this morning.

According to sources, the possible formula is as follows:

  • BJP and JDU: 101–102 seats
  • LJP (Chirag): 26 seats
  • HAM (Jitan Ram Manjhi): 8 seats
  • RLM (Upendra Kushwaha): 7 seats

The NDA has also made it clear that Nitish Kumar will be the Chief Ministerial candidate.

The Mahagathbandhan remains undecided

A final consensus on seat-sharing within the Mahagathbandhan has not yet been reached. According to sources, the possible formula is as follows:

  • RJD: 134–135 seats
  • Congress: 54–55 seats
  • CPI-ML and CPI: approximately 30 seats
  • VIP: 18 seats
  • JMM and RLJP: 2 seats each

However, Congress is adamant on demanding an additional 10 seats, while CPI-ML has already rejected Tejashwi's proposal. Disagreements also persist over some seats in Seemanchal. If negotiations fail, RJD is preparing to contest 138 seats alone.

Why is 'Super Sunday' Important?

Today could determine the direction of the Bihar elections.

  • Strategy Finalized: Both alliances will decide when and how to announce seats and candidates.
  • Final Approval: The seating formula will be approved by Prime Minister Modi, Amit Shah, and top leaders at the NDA CEC meeting in Delhi.
  • Mahagathbandhan's decisive meeting: Today's meeting between Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi is being considered a true test of the opposition alliance's unity.
  • These meetings in Delhi clearly indicate that Bihar's politics has reached a decisive turning point.
