Bihar Elections 2025: BJP Announces 45-Member Campaign Committee, Excludes Key Veterans

Bihar Elections 2025: BJP Announces 45-Member Campaign Committee, Several Veteran Leaders Left Out (X@AmitShah)

Bihar Elections 2025: Putting the preparations for Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced the 45 -member election campaign committee on Sunday. The committee includes ministers, MPs, MLAs, former MPs and senior officials of the organization. In this, social and regional balance is taken into consideration.

This committee will formulate an election campaign strategy and will work to implement it to the booth level. Also, big leaders associated with the central leadership will also come to Bihar and edge the campaign. However, some senior leaders and old veterans of the party have not been included in this list, which has intensified the discussion in political circles.

Prominent leaders involved in the committee

The announcement list includes the names of Union Ministers Giriraj Singh, Nityanand Rai, Satish Chandra Dubey, Rajbhushan Nishad and State Health Minister Mangal Pandey. Apart from this, former state president Radha Mohan Singh, Sanjay Jaiswal, Gopal Narayan Singh, former Union Ministers Ravi Shankar Prasad, Ashwini Choubey and Rajiv Pratap Rudy have also been given place.

MPs include Vivek Thakur, Pradeep Kumar Singh, Janardan Singh Sigriwal, Gopalji Thakur, Ashok Yadav, Shambhu Sharan Patel and Dharmashila Gupta. The names of National Minister Rituraj Sinha, National Spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain, Minister Prem Kumar, Renu Devi, Janak Ram, Hari Sahni and former MP Rama Devi are also in the list.

New Faces Included

This time the BJP has tried to maintain social balance by including many new and local leaders in the committee. These include Krishna Kumar Rishi, Anil Sharma (Bakhtiyarpur), Krishna Kumar Mantu, Ram Narayan Mandal, Rajendra Prasad Gupta, Virendra Chaudhary, Ashok Aggarwal, Hari Manjhi, Lalmohan Gupta, Baby Kumari, Sheela Prajapati, Rajendra Chaupal, UP Sharma, Upendra Prasad, Ram Kumar Rai, Vishwamohan Kumar and Tallu Vasaki.

Formation of Vision Document team

Along with the Election Campaign Committee, the BJP has formed a 13-member committee to prepare its manifesto (vision document). The convenor of this committee, Suresh Rungta, has been made the chairman of the business commission. It includes Cooperative Minister Prem Kumar, Rajya Sabha member Manan Mishra, Dr. Bhim Singh, and Legislative Council members Nivedita Singh and Devesh Kumar.

Also, National Minister Rituraj Sinha, National Spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan, State Vice President Amita Bhushan Rathore, Santosh Pathak, Ajit Chaudhary, Sita Sinha and Sunil Ram have also got a place.

Committee purpose

The Vision Document team will prepare a manifesto keeping in mind the needs and aspirations of different sections of the state. Its goal is to see a clear glimpse of the BJP's plans and priorities before the elections.
