BJP Prepares Bihar Poll Strategy, Key Leaders To Finalize Seat Sharing Plan On October 4

Bihar Election 2025: The Bharatiya Janata Party has intensified its preparations for the Bihar Assembly elections. Following the conclusion of the Dussehra festival, the party will begin intensive brainstorming on seat sharing and candidate selection. According to sources, a crucial two-day meeting of the BJP's State Election Committee will be held in Patna on October 4-5. Several senior party leaders and central officials will attend this meeting. Following this, the BJP will begin discussions with its allies over the next few days regarding seat sharing.

BJP Leaders Finalize Bihar Strategy

BJP election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, co-in-charge Keshav Prasad Maurya, and other senior party leaders, C.R. Patil, will be present at this meeting in Patna. Bihar BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, and Vijay Kumar Sinha will also participate. During this meeting, the party will finalize its strategy and discuss potential seats and candidate names. The main objective of the meeting is to formulate a strong strategy for the Bihar Assembly elections and coordinate with allies. 

The BJP, as a key constituent of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), wants to tread cautiously with its allies like the Janata Dal (United), Hindustani Awam Morcha and others regarding seat adjustments. 

Core group meeting to be held in Delhi

Following the Patna meeting, the Bihar unit of the BJP will hold its core group meeting in Delhi. This meeting will determine strategic guidelines for Bihar and finalize seat sharing. Following this, the Central Election Committee will finalize the names of candidates. The BJP will discuss seat sharing with Chirag Paswan, HAM leader Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Upendra Kushwaha. Only after the seat sharing agreement will a final decision be made on which party will contest which seats. 

BJP's strategy

The BJP's goal in the Bihar Assembly elections is to secure a landslide majority in alliance with the NDA. This time, the party not only wants to retain its traditional seats but also strengthen its presence in some new seats. To this end, the BJP has begun preparations at the organizational level. By coordinating with local leaders and workers, the party plans to implement its strategy down to the booth level. It's worth noting that the dates for the Bihar Assembly elections are expected to be announced in the coming days. The Election Commission team is visiting Bihar on Saturday.
