Groom’s Mother Attacked With Petrol in Karnataka (X)
Parents poured petrol on the boy's mother: A shocking case has come to light from the Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka. Here, angry over their daughter's love marriage, the parents poured petrol on the boy's mother and set her on fire. The seriously burnt woman has been admitted to Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru for treatment. Police have registered the case and started an investigation.
Ambarish, from Sangatapalli village of the Patpalya police station area of Chikkaballapur district, and Pratibha, a resident of Singappagaripalli, were in love with each other for a long time. A few days ago both of them decided to get married. However, Pratibha's family strongly opposed this marriage. Despite all the obstacles, Pratibha eloped with Ambarish and got married in a temple.
When Pratibha's family learned of their daughter's elopement, their anger reached its peak. They went to Ambarish's house, created a ruckus, and set the woman's clothes, stationery, and books on fire, pouring petrol on them. Meanwhile, Ambareesh's mother, Bayamma, was in the house, and the family doused her with petrol and set her on fire.
After the fire, people nearby took the woman to the hospital. Bayamma remains in critical condition. Patpalya police have registered a case against Pratibha's parents and launched an investigation.
