CM Bhagwant Mann: We Will Empower Youth To Become Job Creators, Not Job Seekers (TIN)

CM Bhagwant Mann's initiatives: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said today that the state government is continuously striving to ensure a bright future for the youth so that our youth become capable job creators, not job seekers.

The Chief Minister visited the Shaheed Subedar Meva Singh School of Eminence here today to meet the students. While interacting with the students, he said that the state government has ushered in a new era of education revolution in Punjab. He said that this revolution is preparing students for the competitive environment of the future and enabling them to reach new heights in life.

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that while unprecedented steps have been taken to provide employment to the youth, on the other hand, numerous efforts are being made to channel the immense energy of the youth in the right direction.

Education Revolution

The Chief Minister said that just as runways at airports help planes take off, the state government is helping youth realize their dreams. He said that the state launched the "Education Revolution" in 2022 to help the children of Punjab realize their dreams and reach new heights in life. The Chief Minister said that when we look back, it is sad to see how wrong policies deprived poor children of their right to education.

A great beginning towards a bright future for poor children

The Chief Minister said that the state government has now taken revolutionary steps in the field of education that are being praised across the country. He informed that a total of 118 Schools of Eminence are being established in the state, on which Rs 231.74 crore has been spent so far. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that these schools are considered a great beginning towards a bright future for poor children.

Free uniforms and free bus service

The Chief Minister said that students in these schools are being provided free uniforms and free bus service has been arranged, especially for girls, so that not a single girl is deprived of education. He expressed hope that these schools, as "temples of the modern age," will brighten the lives of thousands of students by providing quality education.

Matter of pride for Mann government

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it is a matter of pride that students from private schools are now enrolling in these Schools of Eminence, which is a testament to the success of this model.

The Chief Minister informed that these students are receiving specialized coaching for competitive examinations such as NEET, JEE, CLAT, and NIFT, in addition to preparing for the armed forces. He said that it is a matter of great pride that 265 students from the Schools of Eminence and other government schools qualified for the JEE Mains exam, 44 passed the JEE Advanced, and 848 students succeeded in the NEET.

School Mentorship Program

The Chief Minister further stated that another initiative, the "School Mentorship Program," has been launched, under which senior officials are providing guidance to students in government schools.

The Chief Minister stated that Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) have been initiated in government schools, which have received overwhelming support from parents. He stated that there are currently 19,200 government schools in Punjab, and approximately 2.5 million parents have participated in the PTMs.

Bhagwant Singh Mann stated that the state government is making determined efforts to bridge the gap between government and private schools in providing quality education.
