Noida gets state-of-the-art drone unit, Rajnath Singh says: Even US-China can’t detect our drones

On Saturday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Rafi Mohib Drone Manufacturing Unit and Defense Equipment and Engine Test Facility in Sector-81, Noida. On this occasion, Rajnath Singh said that India has now become self-sufficient in drone technology. He claimed that drones manufactured in India are so advanced that even the most modern defense technology of countries like America and China will not be able to detect them.

10 people started in 2017

The Defense Minister said that the foundation of this unit was laid with only 10 people in the year 2017. Today, more than 3,600 scientists and engineers are employed here, and the company has emerged as India's most innovative aircraft manufacturing unit. He said that it is not just an industry but a symbol of the scientific revolution in the defense sector. Rajnath Singh said that through this technology, our boundaries will be more secure and the message will be sent to the enemies that India is capable of responding to any challenge.

Importance of increasing drone technology in war

Highlighting the role of drone technology, the Defense Minister gave the example of the Russia-Ukraine war. He said that earlier the use of drones was limited to monitoring only, but now they are playing a decisive role as a weapon in the battlefield. The use of drones in difficult areas and border disputes has proved that this technology is going to be an important part of modern war in the coming times. He said that India's indigenous drones will be used not only to see, but also to fight.

UP will become the Hub of Defense Corridor: Yogi 

On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh is growing rapidly in the field of defense production. He said that due to the defense corridor project, the state is getting a new identity, and this unit of Noida will also create new employment opportunities for the youth in the coming years. Yogi said that this initiative will not only increase the strength of the army but will also establish the country as a defense exporters globally.

This new drone unit started in Noida is proof that India is no longer an importing country of defense equipment. Today, India is in a position to challenge globally on the strength of its technical capacity and innovation.
