From welcoming to seating guests… robots will do hospitality at SCO Summit
International News: The biggest summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) till date is going to be held in Tianjin from 31 August to 1 September. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has now reached Tianjin, China after his Japan visit. During this time PM Modi will also meet President Xi Jinping, Russian President Putin and other leaders. This time the summit is important not only from the diplomatic point of view but also from the display of technological innovations.
Actually, the specialty of this conference is that the work of welcoming the guests and taking them to their seats will be done not by humans but by robots. The most talked about thing in the conference is the human-like robot Xiao He. This special robot can talk in many languages and also gives immediate information to the journalists.
Speaking to ANI, Xiao He said, I am Xiao He, a special AI assistant created for this year's SCO summit. My job is to help in different languages and give correct information to everyone. This robot has such technology that it can understand people's gestures and respond accordingly.
Along with technology, this conference will also showcase Chinese traditions. There will be live demonstrations of Tianjin Yangliuqing woodblock prints and other traditional arts. A special "Cultural Heritage Zone" has been created for this.
SCO, formed in 2001, now has 9 member countries - China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Iran. Belarus, Afghanistan and Mongolia are its observers. This forum is considered very important for politics, security and trade in Asia.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Tianjin after a two-day visit to Japan. In Japan, he met Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and discussed India-Japan relations. PM Modi will have two major meetings in Tianjin. One with Chinese President Xi Jinping and the other with Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is believed that in these meetings, there will be deep discussions on mutual relations and regional issues.
