Eight Policemen Suspended: A major lapse has come to light regarding security arrangements on the occasion of Janmashtami in Delhi. Police Commissioner SBK Singh, who had come to inspect the security arrangements at the ISKCON temple in the Outer North district, had to face many shortcomings. He found that many policemen were absent from their duty, which is being considered a serious negligence.

Inspector Among Eight Officers Suspended

Taking this negligence seriously, the department took immediate action and suspended eight policemen. An inspector-level officer is also included among the suspended personnel. The absence of policemen during this event is being seen as a major security lapse, because on big festivals like Janmashtami, huge crowds gather in temples. In such a situation, the importance of security arrangements increases even more.

The police commissioner reprimanded 

The police commissioner reprimanded the officers present on the spot and ordered a departmental inquiry against the negligent policemen. Apart from the eight personnel who have been suspended, many other policemen were also found absent from duty. The reasons behind their absence are being investigated. After the report comes, necessary action will be taken against them too.

Strict Action Against Security Negligence

The police department has made it clear that negligence in duty during festivals and public events will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Through this action, an attempt has been made to give the message that any negligence regarding security arrangements will be considered a serious crime.
