New Delhi: A two-storey building has collapsed in Sector 7 of Delhi's Rohini area. It is being said that some people may be trapped under the debris. According to Delhi Fire Department officials, the accident took place in Sector 7. The building has collapsed, and at least two people may be trapped under its debris. Rescue operations are underway. Police, fire brigade, and NDRF teams are at the spot.
A fire department official said that as soon as the incident was reported, five teams were immediately dispatched to the spot. The official stated that they received a call about the building collapse at around 4:04 PM. He said that rescue teams are working at the spot.
A senior police officer said that the area has been cordoned off to ensure safety. Several rescue teams of Delhi Police, Fire Brigade, and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are at the scene. The area has been secured to prevent any untoward incident. The electricity department has also switched off the power supply.
It is being reported that rescue team members are trying to pull out those trapped under the debris. The rescue personnel are making every possible effort to save lives. A video from the incident site has also surfaced, showing some of the rescued individuals in an injured state.
