PTI news agency reported, quoting police sources, that the bomb threat via e-mail on Wednesday came from the same group called 'Terrorizers 111,' which had sent the e-mail on Monday. In an email sent to schools on Tuesday night, the group demanded $2,000 in cryptocurrency. Investigators are tracing the digital footprint of the sender through multiple cyber units. Authorities said the emails were routed via foreign servers, complicating the probe.
School administrations have been instructed to maintain strict vigilance and follow security drills. Parents expressed panic, demanding immediate action from Delhi Police. Experts suggest the group may be testing law enforcement response before planning a larger disruption.
According to police records, since January till now, at least 74 educational institutions, 70 schools, and four colleges in Delhi-NCR have received bomb threats. In July alone, nearly 50 schools in Rohini, Pitampura, Paschim Vihar, South Delhi, and Central Delhi were targeted in a flood of coordinated emails, forcing schools to be evacuated.
Colleges such as Hindu College, Shri Ram College of Commerce, and IP College for Women were also affected. Officials say the scale of threats indicates an organized attempt to spread fear rather than random mischief. Security drills have strained both police and school resources across the capital. Teachers have raised concerns about mental stress on students. Parents worry that frequent evacuations may disrupt studies and board exam preparations. Intelligence agencies are now working with cybercrime experts to determine if the threats have cross-border links.
