National News: Relentless rains and severe waterlogging have disrupted daily life in Delhi. Multiple wall collapses and accidents have claimed several lives this monsoon. AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj says the BJP government has completely failed in disaster management. He accused them of shifting blame rather than solving problems. According to him, citizens are paying the price for negligence.
Bhardwaj questioned if CM Rekha Gupta believes Arvind Kejriwal is responsible for a biker’s death after a tree fell in Kalkaji. He asked if Kejriwal increased private school fees by up to 80% or caused frequent power cuts. Bhardwaj said these accusations are a distraction from real issues. He urged the government to focus on action instead of rhetoric.
This year’s monsoon has already claimed over two dozen lives in Delhi. Victims include those killed in wall collapses and drowning incidents. Bhardwaj said BJP’s repeated claims about drain desilting have proven false. He argued that yearly flooding is evidence of systemic failure. The situation, he warned, will only worsen without urgent reforms.
Bhardwaj criticised the so-called “four-engine government” for lacking seriousness in governance. He said their approach mirrors the central government’s habit of blaming Nehru for everything. Instead of accepting responsibility, they target the previous AAP government. He stressed that voters chose them to work, not to pass the buck. Neglect, he warned, will cost public trust.
Two nine-year-old boys died when a DDA wall collapsed in Basant Nagar, Vasant Vihar. AAP leaders visited the families, expressed condolences, and promised assistance. The party blamed government negligence for the tragedy. They said the incident has robbed two homes of their young ones. Public anger over safety lapses is growing rapidly.
Tilak Nagar MLA Jarnail Singh mocked the government by boating in flooded streets and posting the video online. He joked that Delhiites no longer need to visit Rishikesh for rafting. He said every lane now offers “world-class rafting” thanks to waterlogging. Singh suggested buying small boats, as the government cannot stop the floods. His remarks went viral on social media.
Jarnail Singh warned that Delhiites must endure this “rusty four-engine government” for another four and a half years. He predicted the same flooding every monsoon under current leadership. Citizens are frustrated by the lack of action despite repeated complaints. Both Bhardwaj and Singh said BJP is taking the public for granted. They demanded swift measures before more lives are lost.
