National News: Nagaland Governor La. Ganesan passed away at a private hospital in Chennai on Friday night. Hospital sources confirmed he had been admitted to the ICU for several days. On August 8, he suffered a serious head injury after a sudden fall at his residence. Doctors kept him under constant observation due to his critical condition. Despite continuous treatment, he could not recover from the injuries.
According to Raj Bhavan officials in Kohima, Ganesan’s health declined sharply after the accident. He was shifted to the ICU immediately for advanced care. Medical teams tried multiple interventions to stabilize his condition. Friends and political colleagues prayed for his recovery throughout the week. Unfortunately, his life journey ended peacefully during treatment on Friday night.
La. Ganesan was appointed the 21st Governor of Nagaland on February 12, 2023. He formally assumed office on February 20 that year.
