National News: A historic initiative was taken in the capital of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath formally launched the 'Developed Agriculture Sankalp Abhiyan 2025.' In a grand ceremony held at Lok Bhavan, the Chief Minister announced that this campaign is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Developed India,' and at the center of it is India's food provider - the farmer.

Scientists on the land of the fields for the first time

The most important thing about this campaign is that now scientists will not be limited to laboratories only. Experts associated with Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), agricultural universities, and ICAR of the country will reach the farmers' fields directly and work with them to solve the ground challenges of farming. This dialogue is a revolutionary step from laboratories to fields, which can redefine the future of Indian agriculture.

Farmers will get the power of both technology and strategy

The campaign will run till June 12, which will include 89 Krishi Vigyan Kendras, 826 development blocks, and 8137 Nyaya Panchayats. The government has described this campaign as the 'Mahakumbh of knowledge, technology, and solutions for farmers.' In this, officials of the Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Water Power Department will give detailed information to the farmers about advanced farming, water conservation, weather forecasting, and modern horticulture.

High leap of MSP: Changing farmers' fate

The Chief Minister said that there was a time when farmers did not even get Rs 1000 for wheat, but now the Minimum Support Price (MSP) has reached Rs 2425. Many farmers have sold wheat in the market for Rs 2800 per quintal, which is direct proof of the farmer-friendly policies of the government.

Warning and preparation regarding weather

Chief Minister Yogi warned about the monsoon that this year the rains may start earlier than normal, but there is a possibility of a drought of one and a half to two months in between. Therefore, the government has directed them to prepare a strategy for drought management in collaboration with the farmers from now on.

Tribute to Charan Singh and respect to farmers

During this program, the chief minister paid tribute to former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh on his death anniversary. Along with this, certificates were also handed over to the farmers of Chinhat, Itaunja, Salempur and Bakshi Ka Talab under the 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan'.

Sharp attack on previous governments

The chief minister attacked the previous governments and said that farmers were never on their agenda. Basic systems like seeds, technology, irrigation, and MSP were grossly neglected. Today, 20 new Krishi Vigyan Kendras have been opened in the state, and an increase of Rs 72 thousand crore has been registered in sugarcane payment.

Role of farmers in trillion dollar economy

At the end of the program, Yogi reiterated that farmers will be at the center of the goal of making Uttar Pradesh a trillion-dollar economy, and this campaign is the first concrete step in that direction.
