In a heart-wrenching incident from Sagar district in Madhya Pradesh, a groom tragically passed away in his bride's arms during their wedding rituals. The devastating event unfolded as the couple was performing traditional wedding ceremonies, leaving everyone present in utter shock and grief.

Joy turns to tragedy

The incident occurred in the Gopalganj area of Sagar district. Harshit Choubey, a 28-year-old medical store owner known for his successful career, was set to marry a local woman. The wedding day started with celebrations, including the warm reception of the wedding procession and joyous dancing during the "Jaimala" ceremony. However, the happiness was short-lived.

As the couple began taking their seven sacred vows, Harshit experienced chest pain. Initially dismissing it as fatigue, he continued with the rituals. Moments later, he informed his bride about the discomfort but chose to carry on.

Life ends in seconds

While seated next to the bride, Harshit suddenly leaned into her arms and collapsed. Panic ensued as family members and guests rushed to his aid. Despite immediate efforts to save him, Harshit breathed his last in his bride’s lap. The vibrant mandap, once filled with the sounds of wedding chants, turned into a scene of inconsolable sorrow.

A family’s loss

Harshit’s lifeless body was transported home, where his mother, eagerly waiting for the couple’s arrival, fainted upon seeing her son’s remains. The following day, he was cremated in his ancestral village, Jaisinagar.

This heartbreaking incident has left a lasting impact on all who witnessed it, turning what was meant to be a joyous celebration into an unforgettable tragedy.
