Tej Pratap said that “a mother is a mother, no matter whose she is,” adding that those who hurled abuses must face strict legal action.

The remark controversy was discussed by the Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav during a rally in Mahua on Saturday as part of his ‘Bihar Adhikar Yatra’. Notably, during the event, some individuals in the crowd, carrying RJD flags, allegedly shouted offensive slogans against the Prime Minister’s mother and also raised slogans against the BJP.

Mahua MLA has gone mad. He doesn't realise the weightage of what he is saying... I urge the Bihar government and the central government to arrest him as soon as possible and send him to jail. My party, Janshakti Janta Dal, and Bihar Gathbandhan will protest till he is sent to jail."

And now, head of the newly formed Janshakti Janata Dal, Tej Pratap Yadav, made several statements on Sunday. He said that he pledges that no matter how many invitations he receives, he will not return to the RJD. Tej Pratap showed support to the BJP and demanded immediate FIRs and in the abuse case against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He further added that the delay will not be tolerated. If RJD MLA from Mahua, Mukesh Roshan, is not sent to jail in this case, the Janshakti Janata Dal will launch a protest over there. Insulting a person's mother is unacceptable in any civilized society.
