Woman Alleges Rape in Ambulance During Recruitment Event; Gaya Police Arrest 2 Within Hours

Gaya Police acted quickly and caught two men just two hours after getting a report about a female candidate being raped in an ambulance. The woman was taking part in a race for Home Guard recruitment when she fainted during the event on July 24. She was taken to a hospital in an ambulance arranged on the spot. While on the way to the hospital, the woman claimed that the ambulance driver and a technician assaulted her.

Police Form Team, Collect Evidence

After hearing about the case, Gaya's top police officer formed a special team to investigate. The team was led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Bodh Gaya and worked under the guidance of the City SP. A forensic team was also sent to gather proof from the scene.

Officers checked CCTV footage from nearby areas and also recorded the woman's statement. A medical checkup of the woman was done as part of the investigation.

Accused Identified and Arrested

From the statement and other proof, police found out that the driver was Vinay Kumar and the technician was Ajit Kumar. Both were arrested, and a case was filed based on the woman’s complaint.

Separate Case of Family Shooting in Supaul

In another incident, police filed a case in the Supaul district of Bihar after a man reportedly shot his two elder brothers and his nephew. The attack took place in Ward 4 of Madhopur Panchayat, under the Chhatapur police station. All three injured were brought to the local hospital. Dr. Deepak Kumar from the Community Health Centre said that 42-year-old Sunil Ram was in serious condition and was unconscious when brought in. Guddu Ram and 45-year-old Sushil Ram were also injured.

Dispute Leads to Firing; Accused Arrested

The shooter, Chandan Kumar Ram, allegedly opened fire due to a personal dispute. Sunil Ram was shot in the stomach; he was working as a headmaster in a primary school, according to police. After getting first aid at the CHC, the victims were referred to a private hospital in Supaul for better treatment. Chandan Kumar Ram has been arrested, and police are still investigating.
