Haridwar: A case has come to light where the video of a woman taking bath in the Ganga at Har Ki Paidi in Haridwar was allegedly tampered with by AI and made viral in an objectionable form. A woman has come forward on social media and claimed that the viral video is hers and her original video has been edited. According to the woman, she has also given a complaint to the Haryana Crime Branch. However, these claims have not yet been officially confirmed by the police. Shri Ganga Sabha has also expressed displeasure over the matter and demanded action against those who made the video viral.

In the original video, the woman was seen wearing a salwar suit. It is alleged that in the edited video, her clothes were digitally changed to give her an objectionable look and then the clip was spread on different social media platforms.
