Haryana News: In a chilling incident from Sonipat, Haryana, a woman has allegedly set her husband ablaze after drugging him to eliminate him as an obstacle in her affair. According to police, the murder occurred over a year ago, but the case was only recently solved, leading to the arrest of the accused wife, Reena, and her lover, Satpal.

Incident Disguised as a Blind Murder

The case dates back to the night of September 29 last year when Narendra, a resident of Bichpadi village, did not return home from work. His family grew concerned, and the next day, Narendra’s charred body was discovered in his car near Butana Minor canal, close to his village. The shocking condition of the scene left the family devastated.

Suspecting foul play, Narendra’s cousin, Anirudh, reported the incident to the police, alleging that Narendra had been killed and then burned. Initially, police registered the case as a “blind murder,” but as investigations proceeded, inconsistencies surfaced, and suspicions gradually focused on Narendra’s wife.

Affair and Plot to Kill

Police revealed that Reena was involved in a romantic relationship with Satpal, a young man from the same village. Narendra had often confronted Reena over the affair, leading to regular disputes. Frustrated with her husband’s objections, Reena allegedly conspired with Satpal to murder him.

Chilling Execution of the Murder

As part of the scheme, Satpal reportedly invited Narendra for a drink on the evening of September 29. The drink had been spiked with sleeping pills, leaving Narendra unconscious. Reena and Satpal then placed him in his car, drove to a canal area, and set the vehicle on fire with him inside. Police confirmed that Narendra died on the spot due to the blaze.

Police Investigation and Arrests

After rigorous investigation, authorities unraveled the plot and apprehended Reena and Satpal, charging them both with murder. They were presented in court, and the police obtained a five-day remand to conduct further inquiries.
