IND vs PAK Final: India defeated Pakistan by five wickets to win the Asia Cup 2025 final. However, the aftermath of the match sparked controversy. Despite the loss, Pakistan’s team caused a stir by announcing that the prize money from the final would be given to families affected by Indian attacks, a move seen as indirectly benefiting terrorists, including Masood Azhar. Pakistani captain Salman Ali Aga also refused to shake hands with the Indian team, adding to the tension after the match.

What exactly happened?

The captain of the Pakistani team, Salman, announced that the Pakistani team will donate the match fee of the Asia Cup final to those who were victims of Operation Sindur. Salman Ali Aga said in a press conference that Pakistan will give their match fee to the families affected in the Indian attacks in May. Here, Salman cleverly mentioned only “victimized families,” but not the terrorist families. The truth, however, is that the Pakistani team will indirectly give this money to terrorists present in Pakistan. The reason is that Operation Sindur by India had killed many terrorists. Even terrorist Masood Azhar’s family had been wiped out.

Salman Ali Aga’s Statement Explained

First, let’s know the full announcement by Pakistani captain Salman. Salman Aga said: “Our team is donating the match fee of the Asia Cup final to the families of civilians and children who were killed in Indian attacks in May.” In fact, in May 2025, India carried out attacks on terrorist bases in Pakistan under Operation Sindur. This operation was launched in response to the Pahalgam attack. The operation targeted terrorist bases of Jaish and Lashkar in Pakistan.

Will the Pakistani Team Give Money to Terrorists?

India destroyed the Jaish-e-Mohammed camps. In these attacks, terrorist Masood Azhar’s family was wiped out. His home was in mourning. Even Pakistani army officers attended the funerals of these terrorists. India had made it clear that Operation Sindur targeted only terrorists hiding in Pakistan. In this context, Salman’s announcement of donation is clearly a support to terrorists. The question arises: won’t this money go to Masood Azhar’s family and terrorists? The answer is yes. By naming “victimized families,” the Pakistani team is indirectly giving donations to the terrorists.

Match Review

As for the match, Pakistan lost to India in the last over of this thrilling final played in Dubai on Sunday. India performed brilliantly and won the Asia Cup 2025 title. However, there was a lot of drama during the post-match ceremony at midnight. The Indian team refused to accept the trophy from ACC President and Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is also Pakistan’s Home Minister. India made it clear that there will be no connection with terrorist-supporting individuals. No handshake, and no trophy from him. This caused the presentation to be delayed by more than 90 minutes.
