According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain in Delhi-NCR on Saturday. Monsoon is likely to become active again in UP from July 6.

On Friday, only light and scattered rain occurred in more than 50 districts. 3 people died and 3 were injured due to lightning. There will be humidity and light rain in many districts including Lucknow for the next 3 days. Monsoon will intensify from July 6 and most areas may receive good rain on July 7-8.

The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rain and strong winds of 50-60 km per hour in and around Mumbai in the next 24 hours.

It rained in the morning in Baltal and Nunwan, the base camps of Amarnath Yatra in Kashmir. It rained intermittently in the higher areas also. However, the journey is continuing and the administration is continuously monitoring the weather.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that the government is continuously monitoring the weather across the country. Agriculture and other ministries have been instructed to remain alert. The government is paying special attention to those areas where less rainfall can create drought-like conditions.
