India Slams Pakistan, Demands Global Action After Tragic Massacre Of Kashmiris In PoK

New Delhi: India condemned Pakistan and accused for spreading fake news. India said that the circulation of misinformation is due to the diverting the core attention and alleged human rights abuses in the Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). Pok is highly sensitive zone in these days.

What India responds?

Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India had observed a "pattern of fake news and videos emanating from Pakistan" and described it as an attempt to hide it's own failures.

Jaiswal added that, "We continue to see, in this context, a pattern of fake news and videos emanating from Pakistan. It is a desperate attempt by Pakistan to cover up its own failings and deflect attention away from its human rights abuses".

He further quoted about the circulation of PoK related videos on social media. He claimed that several protesters had been killed in the protest by the Pakistani army and security forces.

"There are reports of severe police brutality in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. We hope the international community will hold Pakistan accountable for its misdeeds and abuses," he added.

What Pakistani Forces had claimed?

Pakistani forces claimed that they planned to counter it like a "guerrilla-style attack". Protest have spread throughout the Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Dadial, Rawalakot, Sudhnoti and Tattapani. In these regions, Internet had been shut down and several other decisions have been taken to curb the protest and unrest.

While officials have threatened to disrupt the proposed cross-POK long march, event organizers remain resolute in their plans to advance the demonstration. Although, the region is still on the edge. Protesters continue to mobilise against the forces.
