New Delhi: An IndiGo flight from Lucknow to Delhi carryibg around 180 passengers was thrown into a panic on Friday morning when a tissue paper with the word "bomb" written on it was found in the lavatory just before takeoff. Security agencies immediately responded, stopping the flight and launching an investigation.
According to reports, following safety protocols, the departing IndiGo flight (6E2111) carrying approximately 180 passengers was delayed on Friday after a bomb threat prompted a security alert. The aircraft was then thoroughly inspected for the safety of passengers and crew.
The flight had been scheduled to depart from Lucknow at 10:45 am for Delhi, according to reports
Security agencies conducted a thorough search. Upon receiving information about the incident, security personnel thoroughly inspected every part of the aircraft. No suspicious or explosive material was found during the search, which brought a sigh of relief.
After a thorough investigation, officials ruled the incident a hoax. However, due to the time required to comply with security and legal procedures, the flight departed later than scheduled.
