More than 500 people have complained of health problems over the last one week with almost all of them having similar symptoms of vomiting, abdominal issues, and fever, pointing to a suspected water contamination in the highr-rise. 

500 people fell ill due to contaminated water

Contaminated water has become a cause of trouble for the people in the high rise society of Ghaziabad. The residence alleges that more than 500 people fell ill due to the use of this contaminated water, the health department team is present on the spot after receiving information about the matter. In fact, people living in Saya Gold Avenue Society of Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad have alleged that the water of the society has been contaminated.

On receiving this information, people from the health department are camping on the spot. People living here allege that water consumption is more in summer, hence more people fall ill due to water contamination. People living here are complaining of vomiting and stomach related issues. 

Residents alleges management 

The residents alleged they were paying hefty amounts as maintenance but were not being provided with decent services. The society's elevators were also dysfunctional.

Health officials action in this matter

Ghaziabad's Chief Medical Officer Bhavtosh Shankhadhar said that a team has been sent on information. The officials said they, along with a team of doctors, would set up a health camp on the society campus for two days.
