Kanpur woman missing body found: Four months after a woman from Uttar Pradesh went missing, her body was discovered near the District Magistrate's bungalow in Kanpur. Police believe the woman, the wife of a businessman, was allegedly murdered in June by a local gym trainer.

Gym trainer confesses to his crime

DCP (North Kanpur) Shravan Kumar Singh reported that the accused, Vimal Soni, a gym trainer from the Green Park area, confessed to the crime, revealing he had buried the woman’s body in a government-designated area. The discovery was made after Soni, a resident of Raipurwa, Kanpur, led authorities to the site where he had hidden the body.

The woman went missing on June 24

The investigation shows the woman went missing on June 24. Police believe her disappearance followed an emotional fallout after she learned that Soni’s marriage plans had been finalized. According to DCP Singh, she visited the gym on the day of the incident after a 20-day absence, leading to a private conversation in a car where an argument ensued. In a fit of anger, Soni allegedly struck her in the neck, causing her to lose consciousness before killing her.

Soni avoided using mobile phones

Tracing Soni proved challenging for investigators, as he reportedly avoided using a mobile phone. Authorities sent teams to Pune, Agra, and Punjab to locate him. Police are also examining whether Soni stole any jewelry she may have been wearing at the time.

Legal proceedings are underway at the Kotwali District Police Station, with officials considering all possible angles in this tragic case.
