Punjab News: CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar held a breakfast meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence, followed by a joint press conference in Bengaluru. Amid reports of internal conflict over leadership issues, Siddaramaiah stated there are no differences between them and there will be none in future. He blamed certain media reports for creating confusion and emphasised that their political relationship remains intact. Both leaders appeared together to signal party unity.

 Is 2028 Strategy Their Focus?

Following the meeting, Siddaramaiah confirmed that their main agenda is the 2028 Assembly Elections. He said local body polls are also crucial and discussions were held on strengthening the party structure at the grassroots. He added that both leaders will work together to ensure Congress returns to power. The CM reiterated that they are aligned in strategy and leadership decisions, removing speculation of internal dispute.

 Will High Command Decide Leadership?

Siddaramaiah clearly said that they will follow every decision taken by the party high command. He insisted that there is no confusion currently and there will be none from tomorrow. He criticised reports portraying division, stating that decisions on leadership and cabinet matters lie fully with the central leadership. Shivakumar also echoed the stance, confirming their loyalty to party directives.

 Can Opposition Challenge Stability Now?

Commenting on BJP and JDS, Siddaramaiah accused them of spreading false allegations. He referred to their plan to bring a no-confidence motion, stating BJP has only 60 seats and JDS 18, making the attempt meaningless as Congress holds 140. He claimed his government is stable and prepared to respond to any accusations. The CM said opposition parties thrive on baseless attacks but cannot match their strength.

 Is Cabinet Expansion Driving Speculation?

Siddaramaiah admitted that some MLAs may be seeking ministerial positions, which could be why they approached central leaders. He clarified it does not reflect opposition to leadership. Several MLAs had discussions with him to explain their Delhi visit. He highlighted that aspirational demands are natural in politics but final decisions are to be made by the high command, not by individual leaders.

Does Shivakumar Fully Support Cm?

D.K. Shivakumar said he stands firmly with CM Siddaramaiah and that both leaders are working together without any internal group divisions. He added that the government was formed with people’s support and they are fulfilling their promises. He stressed that their priority is to serve Karnataka and maintain unity, denying any rift claims. He repeated he supports CM’s statements fully.

Will Leadership Remain Stable Ahead?

Addressing leadership speculation, Shivakumar said they are loyal party soldiers and follow the high command’s decision without debate. He expressed confidence that Congress will return to power in 2028 and also contribute significantly to the 2029 national elections under Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. He added that today’s meeting focused on strategy building and handling opposition pressure effectively.
