Karwa Chauth 2025: The festival of Karwa Chauth is being celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm across the country. Now that the moon has been sighted, women break their fast by drinking water from their husbands' hands. Married women across the country were enthusiastic about this festival, celebrating it in the traditional way and observing a Nirjala fast. The moon appeared in the sky around 8:15 pm in Delhi-NCR. However, the moon appeared at different times in other parts of the country. Married women were eagerly awaiting the moon's appearance today.

Moonrise Rituals With Sacred Sieve

After worshipping Karva Mata, women broke their fast by viewing the moon and their husbands through a sieve. After the moon rose, they placed a lamp in a sieve and viewed the moon and their husbands together. They then broke their fast by drinking water from their husbands' hands. In the evening, women adorn themselves with 16 adornments and worship Karva Mata and listen to her story.

Celebrity Couples Celebrate First Karva

After worshipping Goddess Karva Chauth, performing aarti, and reciting the story, everyone waited for the moon to rise in their respective cities. When the moon appeared in the sky, women broke their fast by worshipping Goddess Karva Chauth and viewing the moon and their husbands through a sieve.
