Chennai: The turmoil in the politics of Kerala and Tamil Nadu has intensified at this time. On one hand, Congress has not yet been able to take a final decision on the name of the new chief minister of Kerala, while on the other hand, Chief Minister Vijay's government in Tamil Nadu has to continuously garner political support before the floor test.

Why is there suspense on the face of CM in Kerala?

Despite a big victory in the Kerala Assembly elections, Congress has not been able to reach a consensus on the name of the chief minister. Senior party leader Rahul Gandhi held separate meetings with several leaders in Delhi. Former KPCC chief K. Muraleedharan said that the decision on the name of the Chief Minister will be taken soon and for this another meeting can be held under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

Meanwhile, three big names are most discussed in Kerala Congress, which include K. C. Venugopal, V. D. Satheesan and Ramesh Chennithala. The party high command wants to take decisions by taking all the factions together so that no internal resentment arises after government formation.

Why are eyes fixed on Vijay government in Tamil Nadu?

The government of actor-turned-politician C. Joseph Vijay in Tamil Nadu will soon have to prove majority in the Assembly. Before the floor test, new twists are continuously emerging in the politics of the state. Vijay has intensified his efforts to garner support by meeting leaders of various parties.

Recently AMMK MLA S. Kamaraj also announced his support for the TVK government, after which he was expelled from the party. On the other hand, AIADMK and DMK are also continuously busy making political strategy.

What can increase the difficulty before the floor test?

Before the floor test, TVK MLA Srinivas Sethupathi has received a big blow from the Madras High Court. The court has barred him from participating in the assembly proceedings and the trust vote. He has approached the Supreme Court about this.

It is believed in political circles that the coming few hours may prove to be very important for the politics of both the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
